Starting October 1st, 2024, all incoming foreign travelers (excluding residents) to Zanzibar will be required to pay a mandatory $44 travel insurance fee.
Foreign travelers will obtain inbound travel insurance only from Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC), a government-owned entity, through QR Code that will be provided before embarking on their journey to Zanzibar.
