Dr Jane Goodall in Uganda, What an incredible month August has been!
Dr. Jane Goodall visited Uganda in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the award-winning Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary.
Known for her extensive research on chimpanzees in Africa, Dr. Jane Goodal founded the Jane Goodall Institute, the pioneer NGO behind the vibrant Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary. She has been visiting East Africa for over 50 years and campaigns on broader environmental issues, including climate change.
During a public lecture at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel, Dr. Goodall was the Key Speaker. The theme was “Partnerships for Coexistence” urging collaboration to find practical solutions for balancing development and environmental protection.
Uganda offers visitors an opportunity to meet our closest relatives 365 days a year. A visit to Ngamba Island can be combined with tracking of chimps, gorillas, and golden monkeys arranged by Sun Africa Expeditions. Let us show you how!
